A very clean little cottage for two, with everything we needed for a comfortable few days touring the local area. The hot tub was perfect. The hosts were available but respected our privacy. After our first-day meeting, when they shared lots of useful local knowledge, they left us to enjoy our break. It's in a lovely part of the village, just a very short walk from the local, and off-road parking is right by the cottage door. I'd highly recommend it. One note: please pay attention to the owners' point about the accommodation, as there are stairs up to it.

We stayed at The White House from 21/05/18 to 25/05/18 as a base for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds and coastline. We found the cottage through Sykes Cottages and quickly paid a deposit to secure it. Guy, the owner, phoned the day before we arrived to arrange the key exchange. He was extremely courteous, which gave us a positive feeling about the stay ahead. On Monday we arrived to a very clean, welcoming place that felt fresh. There was shortbread, white wine, and even a dog chew for our dog, a very nice touch. The property has pretty much everything needed for food preparation, even a cheese grater, though no scissors. It's on the first floor of what is rumoured to be the village's old doctor's surgery, so it may be difficult for guests with disabilities. There's no direct garden access, meaning we had to plan toilet breaks for the dog. That wasn't a deal breaker, but worth considering. The hot tub is a short walk away, in a gated, private area, and you can bring your dog and leave them with a bone while you relax. All in all, a great stay I'd recommend to a friend.

A fantastic, peaceful place to stay. The cottage was lovely, and we found complimentary wine and biscuits on arrival. The hot tub was so relaxing, and the location was quiet. There are great local amenities you have to try. We'll definitely return. Thanks again for a perfect stay.
