The hotel is right on the NC500, with safe off-road parking, and the tiny village is super quiet. The owners are great, and we sat chatting in the hotel bar. The food and rooms were good. Sunset views from the hotel were awesome, and the village viewpoint is a short walk uphill and lovely too.

The staff were pleasant, and they kindly did a service wash for us for a reasonable fee, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was quite good, but dinner disappointed: the salmon was sadly very overcooked and dry. The room was basic but adequate, though it needs a refurb, especially the rather tired-looking bathroom. It's a fairly average hotel.

The owners were friendly, the hotel was well located, and the breakfast was excellent. I believe the hotel is for sale. Good accommodation is hard to find in the area, especially during the season, so this could be a great venture for a couple or anyone hoping to run a small hotel away from it all. Wonderful hospitality.

The drive here is quite a journey, but it's well worth it. We both loved this beautiful place, with a lovely hotel, the nicest people, great food, and a fab little bar with a pool table. Breakfast was one of the best I've had, especially the Stornoway black pudding. Highly recommended. Five stars.

We had a great one-night stay. The couple running the hotel do an amazing job and provide great service. The food was delicious, high quality, and very reasonably priced.
