Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both delicious. The updated rooms were quiet and comfortable, and everyone we met, staff and other guests, was friendly and welcoming.

We came for a family get-together and stayed overnight, which worked well. The staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the stay was good value for what we paid. Although the dishes we picked couldn’t be made gluten-free, they offered good alternatives. Ideal for our visit.

The reception staff were friendly, and breakfast came out promptly and was decent. I stayed one night for a work Christmas party. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely shower, and the price was very good. I’d stay again.

We were in and out in 50 minutes, £118 spent, and we skipped dessert. It was meant to be a festive celebration, but the meal was disappointing. My husband and I ordered the festive turkey dinner at £21 each. We got two potatoes, undercooked carrots, and watery gravy. When he told the manager the potatoes seemed a bit stingy, the reply was that nobody else had complained. We were five people, and the food just wasn’t great.

The restaurant meal was excellent, and the staff were fantastic. The rooms are older, though clean, and there’s plenty of parking. Having a 22 kW charging station for two cars was a nice extra.
