Breakfast was freshly made to order and really good. Colin was helpful and shared plenty of information, and we had a lovely view of the church across the road. The place is an old building, but it’s well looked after and felt safe. Clean bedding, towels and hot showers too. A cozy little B&B for a comfortable stay in Dumfries. Loved it.

We were in town for a funeral, and the location worked well for us. Collin was very helpful, and breakfast was lovely. The beds were the main problem: the mattresses are so thin you can feel the hard base. Room 4 had a very small toilet, and in room 1 there was mould in the corners and dead bugs that hadn’t been cleaned up.

Colin made me feel welcome, and I’d happily come back. My room was really clean, with a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom and shower. I stayed last night, Sun 09/11, for a music event at the Theatre Royal. This place was only 10 minutes from the venue, and I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely recommend it.

We were there for five nights, and Colin and the staff made us feel right at home. They made sure we had what we needed, even oat milk, and cooked our oatmeal without dairy. They also shared lovely stories and memories about Dumfries’ history. It’s a cozy, homey inn. If we make it back to Dumfries, we’ll stay at the Dumfries Villa again. Otherwise, say hello to Colin from the Goods :)
