The station is just a minute away, which made this such a handy place to stay. I was in Room No 1 on 26 October 2024 for an event, and it had all the basics for an overnight visit: a kettle, sink and mirror, TV, wardrobe, drawers and two plug sockets. The heating had the room lovely and warm when I got back from the rain, so I could dry my jacket, and the window opens wide for fresh air. The bed was so comfy, mattress, duvet and pillow, and I was asleep in five minutes. Had a wonderful night's sleep. The host was friendly, helpful and smiley. He also works in the station cafe, so it was nice to see him again before my train and get a large coffee. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

At 5am, while I was asleep, the property manager tried to unlock my room with his key. He knew I was inside and travelling alone.
