The vegetables were cooked just right, not left sitting until they went mushy, and the portions were generous. We all ate well at reasonable pub prices. It was our first visit, last night with my wife and three friends, and we’ll definitely come back. The pub had a warm feel, with a good mix of locals and visitors. Service was great, and the kitchen kindly catered for one person’s dairy-free needs. The food was brilliant.

A lovely country pub, with lovely decor. We had a birthday meal here and felt so welcome. The staff were really friendly, and the different themed nights seem to suit all sorts of people. Thanks, we’ll be back soon.

It’s comfortable rather than luxurious, with lovely countryside around it and a main road connection not far away. The people were so kind, they drove us to a local hotel for a wedding reception and brought us back. The price was very reasonable, the breakfast fantastic, and they did everything they could to make our stay a happy one.

There was such a good buzz, and everyone made us feel welcome. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was superb, and the ABBA disco was brilliant. A fantastic evening, and we’ll definitely come back.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedrooms, though a little dated, were clean. You can tell from the photos that the hotel is a work in progress, as the owners are refurbishing it bit by bit. The areas already done look lovely. It was just what we expected, with a friendly atmosphere and fantastic, reasonably priced pub food. I’m a gin drinker, and what a selection of gins! We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to friends for a meal and night away. We’ll be back with friends soon for another meal.
