The Three Horseshoes

I’ll definitely come back for a meal. The Three Horseshoes has a cosy, relaxed feel, and the service was friendly and efficient. The menu has vegan choices, and the vegetable Thai green curry I ordered was freshly made and a decent-sized portion.

The food was great, no complaints there, but the service was inattentive. We came for lunch at 2pm Friday, and although it was busy, we were seated right away. After waiting for someone to take our drinks order, nobody came back for 30 minutes to take the food order. We were then told there’d be another 30-minute wait for food. I don’t mind waiting when it’s cooked fresh, but I would’ve appreciated not being ignored for half an hour first. A table seated ten minutes after us ordered before we did and had almost finished eating by the time our food arrived. Attention to customers’ waiting times needs work.

I came in for a meal rather than staying, and was really impressed. The views were fabulous, the atmosphere was good, and the staff were friendly. The menu was concise, my order was taken promptly and the food was amazing. I’ll definitely be back.

It was my first visit to the UK, so I had to try fish and chips with mushy peas and black pudding on the side. I loved the meal with a half pint of Guinness, then had strawberry raspberry sorbet for dessert. Really happy I got to try an authentic British staple! 🥰
