The house was lovely and brilliantly decorated, with a full bathroom in every room. Paul and John were incredible hosts. On arrival, we found the kitchen stocked with coffee and a mix of healthy and sweet snacks. If you're considering having Paul cook dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Paul made our family reunion at 94DR in early April feel like a dream. He helped us plan excursions, sightseeing and meals out, and even arranged a bagpipe player and drummer for the event. His suggestion of photographer Marta Rocci was wonderful too. Paul cooked a celebratory Scottish dinner that was Michelin star worthy. Every request and small detail was handled, from the stocked fridge and bar to snacks, flowers and extra towels. We rented the whole house, and it was a perfect base for exploring Edinburgh and Scotland. It's beautiful, with spacious, comfortable living areas, and room for us to cook some of our own meals. The large, private garden was lovely to spend time in. Everything about the reunion was fantastic, thanks in large part to Paul, who knows the city so well and was a phenomenal host.

We tried the “Heat & Eat” meal service, and it was both delicious and so convenient. We came back to find everything prepared, then just had to put it in the oven. Paul’s hospitality made the stay especially memorable. He has a heart of gold. 94DR was clean, comfortable and beautifully styled, with all the amenities we needed. The outdoor fire was a cosy spot to relax in the evenings. We had an incredible stay and I'd highly recommend it for a group visiting Edinburgh.

The kitchen is well equipped, and the bedrooms are comfortable. It's a great spot, a stone's throw from Edinburgh, and would suit a large group that enjoys food. A few small upgrades, like a games room or an updated media room, would earn it the last star. Nothing that would put me off coming back.
