B+B Edinburgh

I was really glad we picked this hotel in Edinburgh. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the view was lovely. The whole place felt elegant and thoughtfully designed. One of the best places I’ve stayed, honestly.

We were in a basement room, so there wasn’t a view, which was a little disappointing. Still, the rooms were clean and lovely, and the breakfast restaurant had beautiful views each morning. The hotel also looked after my coeliac needs brilliantly, with a full gluten-free breakfast every day. It’s only a short walk to the centre, and we’ll absolutely stay again.

We booked at the last minute and paid a fairly high price. For parking, they arranged a space at the neighboring Bonham Hotel & Restaurant, at an extra £20 a night. The rooms felt plain and dated, though the library on site is lovely. Breakfast was cooked to order and served warm, but the quality was nothing special. If you just want an okay-ish hotel near the centre, it works.

It was quiet, very clean, and the staff were helpful. They also catered for allergies and dietary needs: my partner has a gluten intolerance and had a great selection of breakfast options. We’ll definitely visit again. A beautiful hotel.
