Blinkbonny House

We felt completely at home at Blinkbonny House. Our room was roomy, warm and just right, with a fantastic private shower room. Sean was such a lovely host and couldn't do enough for us. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the place has a charming bungalow or cottage feel. It's around an 8-10 minute drive from Princess Street in the centre of Edinburgh, close enough to get into town without being caught up in all the bustle. The value was superb, almost too good to tell people about in case it makes it harder for us to book next time! I'd happily stay here whenever we visit Edinburgh and recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful base near the centre. Thanks, Sean. We hope to be back many times.

Getting into the city centre was easy, with a good bus connection. The bus that stops right in front of Edinburgh castle is probably the best option. Our room was spacious and quiet, with everything we needed and then some. The host was kind and helpful too.

We were here for a match at Murrayfield, an easy 20-minute walk away. The room was lovely and the hosts were great. There's also a bus route nearby for heading into Edinburgh, so you can leave the car behind and explore. Highly recommend.

We've travelled from Australia to Scotland three times and have always chosen Blinkbonny. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's a great value B&B in a handy spot, with the city attractions just a short bus ride or a relaxed walk away. Shaun and Elaine are wonderful, welcoming hosts who are happy to help with anything. Breakfast is cooked to order, and Shaun's porridge is the best in Scotland. Highly recommended!
