Block 2 Flat 16 Westfield Court

The shared bathrooms were spotless and nicely fitted out, so they weren't a problem for us. We'd asked for ensuite rooms when booking and didn't get them, but I haven't taken off any stars for that. The terrace also has breathtaking views across the whole city, and the interiors are very tasteful.

The manager was kind and took time to show us where things were and how they worked, though he seemed swamped and missed some requests. I had to call at 10pm because I still didn't have bed linen, and the blanket he'd promised never arrived. Parking was a struggle since permanent residents seemed to take most of the spaces. Breakfast was nice, with tea, coffee and leftover breakfast items available around the clock. The TV is only in the common room, but we could use the shared bathrooms whenever we needed. It served our purpose.

The room was clean, but noise carries easily from the staff and early risers, and birds on the ledges outside were loud in the morning. It's a bit far out, and the place badly needs a refresh. The photo of the wooden room must be from when it was new, it doesn't look like that now. Would I stay again? Maybe, if I couldn't find somewhere closer.

The smell in the lift and bathrooms was awful, and carpet in a shared bathroom is disgusting. The Booking.com photos are very misleading, honestly sneaky. Thank goodness we were there for just one night. I'd avoid this place completely, never again.
