Burnets Apartments

The only thing I liked about this apartment was the location. The price was very high for the quality, and even if it had been free in these conditions, I wouldn’t take it. I’d advise anyone visiting Edinburgh to leave Burnets Apartment off their list. Check-in was very late, even though I’d put my estimated arrival time in the booking, and there were no clear directions for getting to the apartment. The photos on Booking and Airbnb didn’t match what we found in person. On our first night, the blankets were very dirty and the consumable items weren’t suitable for people. They were changed the next day. The living room couch was very old, and the Wi-Fi was very weak and hard to connect to. The stairs had no light at night, and there’s no elevator, despite the apartment being on the second floor. One of the worst stays of my life. The apartment was horrible in every respect and didn’t deserve even one star.

The living rooms were spacious and the AV facilities were good. The maintenance person had missed fixing the washing machine, though, and it still had a previous renter’s washed clothes in it. Otherwise, very good. We stayed at 156 Burnet’s Close.

We got some nice unexpected extras when we arrived, and staff gave us good recommendations for the surrounding area. The apartment is beautiful and sits in the pedestrian area of the royal mile.
