Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West

The staff made us feel like we were in good hands, from the polite and welcoming team to the people working in the kitchen. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and went to the bar every night. The salt and pepper squid and sticky toffee pudding were amazing, and the vegan sandwiches I had on the second day were delicious. Our room was spacious and super clean. The location is a bit outside the city, on a sprawling, quiet and picturesque university campus. We had an amazing stay at courtyard Edinburgh west and would definitely return. Thank you!

I arrived in the middle of the night, and the front desk manager Mohammed was amazing, really friendly. He was there temporarily from Manchester, covering for someone on leave. The staff generally were exceptionally friendly too, and the breakfast spread was very good. My room was a decent size, not one of those tiny cages, more like free range, and there's a massive parking lot. The surrounding area, right on the Heriot-Watt Uni campus, was nice for walks. Totally worth it.

The room was really nice, with some interesting lighting, and the staff and breakfast were excellent. There's free parking, and it's six minutes from the airport. The only trouble I had was finding the hotel. It's in the Edinburgh University campus area, and there's no sign on the side facing the road.

After dropping my son at uni, I needed somewhere to work for a few hours and get a coffee. The receptionist welcomed me, found me a spot where I could sit and work, then went and got me a coffee. The team couldn't have been nicer or made me feel more welcome. Big thanks to them.
