We found the accommodation basic but very clean and comfortable, just right for a short city stay. Edinburgh was easy to explore from here, with everything close by, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

The desk staff were lovely and there around the clock. There were a couple of rooms with screens for watching TV, and laundry was available too. Our room had lots of outlets and comfortable bedding. We had a great stay.

The room was freezing each evening because its heater didn't work. We raised this several times, but staff said there was nothing they could do and offered no fix. The sheets were extremely dirty and still hadn't been changed after we asked twice. The room itself was also extremely small. After that experience, I definitely can't recommend this hotel.

Every Saturday, the bedding collector parks this idiotically, blocking both the pavement and the road. It's dangerous.

The staff were friendly, and everything was so well managed that we didn't have a single concern. It's hard to believe this is a student hostel: the place is modern, clean, well maintained, and has great facilities. Royal mile, Holyrood, a bus stop, a supermarket, and Edinburgh's main tourist spots are all close by. I'm glad I managed to book it. It's absolutely amazing.
