Destiny Student Murano - Campus Accommodation

The staff were very nice, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. The location was good too. But both rooms we booked were bad. The first wasn't clean, with a hair in the sink, and it was very small. We thought we might just have been unlucky, but after our trip to the highlands the second room was the same. There was a strange chemical toilet smell, and we could hear people yawning next door. I also got awful back pain, even though I'm not normally that sensitive. We wouldn't book again, especially if travelling alone. There was no chain, and you couldn't check from inside whether the door had locked properly. We only found out on arrival that eating and drinking in the room wasn't allowed.

We only spent a night here while passing through Edinburgh, but I'd come back if I needed a budget place. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there's a small kitchen. If you've stayed in student housing before, you'll know what to expect. It's great accommodation for what it is.

I booked two nights through Booking.com and found it very good value. The price was affordable, and the clean, well-maintained room was better than I expected. When I needed an iron, there was a new one in the shared kitchen for everyone. The people who checked me in were welcoming and friendly, smiling throughout. There are nice restaurants nearby, and it's just a 15-minute walk into the city centre. Clean, safe, and easy to recommend to tourists visiting Edinburgh.

We had a great time here during our summer holidays in Edinburgh. The rooms are okay for one person, maybe two, and the staff are kind and efficient. It's handy for the tram and bus stop, with supermarkets and corner shops nearby. There are good spots for a pint or coffee on Leith walk.
