ibis budget Edinburgh Park was a great pick for a practical, clean, affordable Edinburgh stay. Check-in was quick, and the staff were welcoming and really helpful. The location is excellent: just minutes from the airport, right beside a train stop with a direct ride to the city centre. Shops and quick places to eat are nearby too. The room was compact, as you'd expect for a budget hotel, but spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice and hot, the Wi-Fi and TV worked perfectly, and the towels were soft. The bathroom felt modern.

The staff were exceptionally friendly when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the facilities at check-in. The lobby also had complimentary tea, coffee, and filtered water, which was a great bonus. The room was exceptionally clean, though its layout was basic, with little storage and a matte glass shower door that was quite inconvenient. The rooms are quite small. The hotel is on the outskirts, but it's convenient and walkable, with a tram stop about a 5-minute walk away. From there, you can go straight to the airport or city centre. We had a great stay overall, and the location and service balanced out the simple room.

The tram stop is right opposite the hotel, with trams every 7 minutes straight into the city centre. The Gyle shopping centre is across the road too, with a Morrison’s supermarket, coffee shops, and restaurants. Parking costs £5 a day, which is very good compared with parking in the city. It's a great budget base for visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The hotel is on the outskirts. Rooms are clean, small but comfortable, and very quiet. It's a budget stay, so don't expect every amenity. Staff were helpful and professional. Free water, tea, and coffee are available in reception, since there are no kettles in the rooms. There's also a bar serving pizzas and paninis. We didn't eat breakfast there, though it looked busy.

It's good value for the price. The hotel is clean, and the staff are really nice. Public transport makes it easy to get to the city centre. It's close to the airport but not too noisy. I've stayed twice and would recommend it if you're on a budget and want to see the sights in and around Edinburgh.
