Irene made us feel welcome and was friendly and very accommodating. She’s a lively, interesting person with great tips on places to see and how to get around. I normally just look things up online, but her suggestions were even better than Google Maps and review sites. The building and rooms are classic and beautiful, and the location is decent. Highly recommended.

Irene was so friendly and welcoming, and gave us lots of great ideas for things to explore. The service was the best, the place was very clean, and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!

Irene, the owner, welcomed us and made sure we had what we needed. This is a lovely bed and breakfast on a quiet street, and we slept really well. The rooms are nicely decorated and cover the basics. They’re en suite, though the bathrooms have been fitted into a small part of the room and are tiny. There’s a shower, toilet, and sink, all you might need. The bed was comfortable, made daily, and had an excellent mattress and soft, pleasant sheets. It was on the small side, though: my partner is 1.85 and his feet could touch the end. Breakfast is served and fairly basic, but enough to set you up for the day. It’s a little way from the city centre, about a 30-40 minute walk or a 15-minute bus ride. The walk is pleasant, so we did it every day. We’d stay again.

It’s a calm, quiet area and easy to reach, with 8-10 buses going there. We liked how clean everything was and enjoyed the breakfast. The owner kindly arranged an early one for us because we had to leave for a tour. Our room also had an ensuite bathroom. I’d visit again when I’m in Edinburgh.
