Portsburgh Court - Campus Accommodation

For students visiting Edinburgh, this is a great place to stay. The people are suuuper sweet and the rooms are super comfy🩷

Nothing was awful, but there were lots of little annoyances. The staff were nice, and it was fairly clean and quiet. If you've stayed somewhere like this before, the experience feels pretty average, and quite unlike a hotel. Overall it came across as a cheaper kind of student hall, poorly put together in places: no bedside tables, no bathroom shelf space, and cheap pillows and mattress.

The building is close to central Edinburgh, the university and Edinburgh Castle, and every room has a desk, which came in handy. There are ironing facilities too, and the communal fridge on each floor is useful for food. The sheets were clean, and WiFi was available for one day. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and let me leave some luggage with them for a few hours. I enjoyed staying here, and it brought back memories of my student days.

Simple, clean accommodation, just as described. The rooms have a student feel and are minimalist, but there's a big study desk and a comfortable double bed. Shared kitchens are roomy and well equipped, and there's laundry on site plus a common room. Don't expect a TV. Maybe use the chance to talk to each other again!
