Premier Suites Edinburgh – Fountain Court

We’ll definitely stay here again. The location worked really well, with Fountain Park at one end of the road and Morrison Street at the other. Parking was £18 a day in a secure car park, and WiFi was free. The apartment was clean, tidy and well furnished, with plenty of amenities. It had an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer and a safe, and the beds were so comfortable. The welcome guide was full of useful information, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. These were the best apartments we’ve stayed in in Edinburgh.

We spent two weeks here recently and had a great stay. Grocery stores and shops are nearby, and you can walk to the train station. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well stocked. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially Katherine. It’s about 30 minutes from the airport, with a taxi fare of approximately 35 pounds. We’d definitely stay here again.

The noise made it very hard to feel comfortable or have any privacy. We could hear footsteps from the apartment above as if they were in our flat, and conversations from neighbouring apartments, even those directly opposite, came through clearly. If you’re considering a stay, I’d avoid a unit facing the car park. People in nearby buildings that overlook it often caused noise late at night and into the early morning. Parking was another major problem. We were told after booking, when we contacted the property directly, that spaces were very limited and unavailable. At checkout, I spoke with several other guests who’d run into the same issue, so it seemed to be recurring. Check carefully before paying if on-site parking matters to you. The reception and other staff came across as extremely poor and unprofessional. For the comfort and service we received, the apartments felt significantly overpriced, and I’d strongly recommend finding somewhere else if you can.

The apartment was comfortable and the location convenient, so the stay was generally good. Parking was the part that bothered us: the designated car park was a good distance from our building, and carrying our luggage over there was quite annoying. It was still a decent stay, but the parking setup needs improvement.
