Ten Hill Place

Ten Hill Place made our Edinburgh trip easy, with a great base for seeing nearby attractions on foot. Staff were friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, and the room was clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. It had a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and plenty of tea and coffee choices; the bed was super comfy, and the towels were thick, fresh and high quality. For my birthday, the hotel surprised us with a room upgrade and decorated the room. My partner had sent the decorations to the hotel, and it was a thoughtful touch. The one small letdown was the limited TV channels. After walking all day on our city break, we were knackered and spent evenings relaxing in the room, so a TV with apps like Netflix might be better. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend Ten Hill Place to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Kevin's warm, genuine hospitality made our Christmas stay especially good. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy, and Rejes and Mark brought a fun, uplifting energy. All the staff were polite and friendly. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk from the old town and 20 minutes from the train station. The main street outside had a bit of an edge, but we never felt unsafe, and our room was quiet. Our Christmas package included meals with good options and nice quality, though the food could be refined a little. Breakfast had lots of choice and was always well replenished, and the bar staff made excellent drinks and cocktails. We were very happy with the package, would book it again, and would recommend the hotel to friends, family or anyone visiting Edinburgh.

On our split stay in Edinburgh, the first two nights were in a small, just-okay room on a higher floor. When we returned, we were given a first-floor room that felt like a completely different hotel, it was so nice. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to the sights and destinations, and the dinner was fantastic. Breakfast was a little lacklustre, but it didn't change my opinion. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, and I'd highly recommend staying here.

Jonathan at reception really made our visit memorable. He was kind, welcoming and attentive, and nothing felt like too much trouble. His warmth and professionalism were a huge part of the experience. The Ten Hill itself is beautiful, well kept and in a perfect location, with a comfortable atmosphere and thoughtful details throughout. Everything was flawless from arrival. We had an amazing stay, would absolutely recommend it and will be back. Thank you!
