The house had a calm, cared-for feel, and I enjoyed my stay a lot. I was there at the end of September into early October and was comfortable without turning on the radiator. My room was cosy, with a small but clean en-suite, a great shower, and plenty of loo paper for my four nights. The linen smelled fresh, and they left a lovely selection of green tea, which they said I could take when I left. It's close to a large swimming pool, shops, cafes, and Arthur's Seat. Breakfast wasn't included, but we wanted to go out for brunch anyway. I definitely recommend The Thistle House guest house.

A lovely, clean place not far from the city centre and close to the bus station. Just right for a short trip to Edinburgh.

It was acceptable, though nothing special. The property feels tired, the bathroom is very small, and the room lighting isn't enough. The linens were clean but musty, and the heat didn't work. Breakfast wasn't included, and the window had no security lock.

The host was so friendly and helpful, which made my one-night visit even nicer. My room at Thistle Residence in Edinburgh was clean and comfortable, and the location is especially convenient if you're travelling by car. I'd be happy to return.

I spent three nights in a single room and had a nice stay. The house was clean and smelled pleasant. There was a sink with hand soap in my room, along with a kettle, coffee and milk, a comfortable bed and a towel. The bathroom was just outside the room and very clean too. The staff were kind. I didn't try breakfast.
