The Royal Oak Inn

We were so glad we chose this place. It’s a proper cosy country pub, with simple but clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms in a row behind it. The hosts were lovely, the location was great, and breakfast was generous and tasty. Also had a great pint the night before. Good value, highly recommend.

Even our cocker poo was well looked after, with his own bedding, water bowl, toilet bags and dog biscuits, which he loved. There was also a safe garden area for him to run around. We had a very comfortable, clean en-suite room with tasteful furnishings and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The garden was lovely, with great views to enjoy over an evening drink. We were made very welcome when we arrived at The Royal Oak for our one-night stay. Excellent value, and we’d definitely return. Thank you.

The TV was tiny, and it was hard to see from the bed, especially with it mounted at such a high angle. Apart from that, I had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. The little room was basic but clean, comfortable and private, just right for what I needed for one night. Thanks!

Rudy had a great time playing with Ferdy, the owner’s dog. The garden views are beautiful, and there’s a fenced-off space where dogs can be off lead. We got a lovely warm welcome and a comfortable room with lots of thoughtful little touches.
