The only drawback was parking. There’s no dedicated car park, so I had to leave the car up the road. Still, I’d stay again. The rooms were clean and had everything needed for a short stay, the bed was super comfy, and breakfast was spot on, freshly cooked.

For the same price as the cheapest Airbnb rooms, this was a great combination: real ale on tap, good food, a nice room and really helpful staff. Food was due to stop at 8, but I rang ahead and they kept the kitchen open another 15 minutes. I’d only expected a cheap, tired seaside B&B, so walking into a nice country pub made me check I was in the right place. Shame I’m only here for one night.
