Plas Dolau Country Estate

Breakfast had plenty of options, including gluten-free choices and other allergy-friendly food. I could help myself to fruit, juice, yoghurt, cereal and toast, or choose poached eggs on sourdough or croissants with tea or coffee. The host was welcoming, and the bed was comfortable.

Having parking on site was handy, and the location worked well for a visit to Aberystwyth. Sam made me feel welcome. My room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast offered lots of variety, with my choice cooked fresh to order.

We only stayed one night, and both the double and twin rooms were clean and tidy. Sam and Bethan did their best to make us feel at home, and breakfast was good. The place is tucked away just outside town, which we preferred to some of the in-town places we've tried before. Thanks, and we hope to return soon.

Our group of 25 children, aged 8-13, and their leaders stayed for 24 hours. There was room to play and spend time together both indoors and outside, and the host even provided a bonfire. The children could have space and freedom while still feeling safe. Leaders' rooms between the children's rooms and the staircase were reassuring for our group. The kitchen was set up for cooking for a large group, with gas hobs, two cookers, a dishwasher, a big fridge, toasters, a microwave and lots of crockery and cutlery. There was also plenty of parking. We didn't bring a minibus, but there would have been room for one or possibly two. The hosts were friendly and helpful, answering questions and pointing us in the right direction.
