I’m local, so I haven’t stayed at the Red Lion, but I recently ate at the restaurant. The chicken and ham pie was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant for a long time, and the vegetables and chips alongside it were first rate too. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the prices seemed reasonable given the cost of eating out these days. If you’re in the area and fancy a nice lunch, I can recommend a visit.

A lovely evening at the Red Lion in Fareham with a group of friends from work. We enjoyed the meal and Dan and Sean took great care of us. Both were friendly, polite, professional, and attentive, and worked hard to make sure we had a good time. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

We only stopped in for a quick drink, so I can’t comment on the accommodation. It was warm, cosy, and pleasant. I’d go back sometime to try the food.

The prawn and chorizo risotto at dinner was delicious, and I only wish I hadn't had to leave before breakfast. I picked the Red Lion because it was near a customer and had a Tesco EV charger. I spend at least 60 nights a year in hotels and normally steer clear of pubs because of noise, so I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and comfortable it was. Everyone on staff was helpful and courteous.

We had a lovely evening chatting with Lucy. She knows a lot about both red wine and gin, and was very professional throughout. She suggested we visit the Bombay sapphire distillery while we're in the area. Thanks, Lucy, and we hope to return.
