Swan Quay Inn

We had a delicious, quiet lunch, and the service was good. The menu for our group of four wasn't huge, but it was inventive, and the food was top quality and nicely presented. I was surprised the restaurant wasn't busier on a Friday lunchtime. Maybe people see “Hotel” and don't think of the restaurant? It's easy to get to from the town centre, though parking may mean leaving the car in one of several car parks over a hundred metres away. Still worth it. There are seven rooms if you want to stay, too. A great addition to Faversham.

The dining room has an intimate feel, and both the food and service were exceptional at lunch and dinner. They use high-quality ingredients sourced locally. The owners and staff were welcoming and clearly put a lot into giving guests a memorable overnight stay. The Faversham Creek Hotel was a very special place to stay. Highly recommended. It changed hands after my review and was being refurbished in the last few months of 2018.

The location is right in faversham, close to shops and restaurants, and there are four or five parking spaces outside, allocated first come, first served. We stayed one night and did the brewery tour across the road. Staff were polite, and the room was very clean with excellent decor, in keeping with the rest of this nice, quaint hotel. The bar closes at 22.30.

We had a very pleasant stay, and the hotel was good. It had recently changed hands, and refurbishment work meant the bar was shut. The bottles were there, but we couldn't buy a drink. It would have been useful if drinks were still available while the work was going on.
