The manager was so welcoming and helpful, and our room was spotless. The beds were a delight, and I had the best night's sleep I've ever had. We stayed while visiting the mythical town of Folkestone. Thanks for being part of such a wonderful hotel!

Free parking and a spot near the beach, with lovely places to eat and drink nearby, were the good parts. But I found the room very small, and the bed was hard and unforgiving. The pillow was maybe 3 inches thick, and that's me being kind with the measurement. I booked through Booking.com for £85.00 for the night. Honestly, it wasn't worth it. Pay more and get more. Lesson learnt 😔😤🙄

I need a hotel with secure parking, and this one has a small enclosed area at the rear. It isn't secure, but it's tucked away, and the owner always assures me it's safe. I've stayed here several times as a place to spend the night after going out in Folkestone's old town, before taking the chunnel to Europe the next day. Folkestone is lovely, and the old station and railway are cool, with plenty of bars and other places. The local council finally seems to be getting more funding. The hotel is just what you'd expect, old-fashioned with an old-time feel.

The location is amazing and the staff were friendly, but I was very disappointed by the room. It was expensive for what was on offer, and I wouldn't stay in that room again even if it were free. The bunk bed squeaked loudly whenever our daughter moved, even a little, so none of us slept through the night. We couldn't get fresh air from the balcony because its door was bolted shut. The room was especially dirty by that door and along the side of the bed. Some spots looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, so this didn't seem like a one-off missed area. Around 8am, doors started banging right outside the room and it kept happening throughout the night.
