The balcony has stunning views, just as the name suggests, and the apartment is a great base for exploring the lovely area nearby. Our rooms were spacious and well furnished, with an en suite in ours. It was very clean, and there’s free parking off season.

On a clear day you can see all the way across to France. The beach is mostly clean, quiet and family-friendly, with the shops only a pebble throw away. A great place to visit!

The views and room sizes were good, and the living room was comfortable with nice decor. The location also gives you lots to do in the area. But the apartment was a very frustrating stay and didn’t feel worth what we paid. It faces a VERY busy road and has no double glazing. Scaffolding on the side of the property had been left unsecured, making apartment number 4 vulnerable to intruders through a bedroom window that had no lock. We also weren’t told about building work before booking. Inside, the curtain rail above the balcony door was loose, and the balcony tiles and handrails were damaged and dangerous. The property was dusty, possibly because of the work. We were on the middle floor, with a family above us and another to the left. The apartments aren’t soundproof, and screaming children banging doors kept us awake until 3am, followed by the parents smacking them. The kitchen had no toaster, and the oven, grill and spa bath didn’t work. We’d brought food for self-catering, but it went to waste and we had to buy takeaway instead. Steve, our host, was elusive. After we transferred the money, we heard nothing beyond a text saying the keys were in apartment 4 and the door was unlocked. He wasn’t there to welcome us or check us out. We had to make LOTS of calls to retrieve an item we’d left behind, and Steve clearly doesn’t like answering the phone. A very dodgy setup. I would NOT recommend it.

A really lovely holiday let in a perfect spot, with a great beach view. Falling asleep to the waves on the pebbles was lovely. The cottage just needed a clean to earn five stars.

The view was fantastic, but the apartments are tired and need a makeover. There were damp patches on the lounge walls, and the place looked nothing like the website photos. It also needs a thorough clean.
