The wall displays about the canal and how it was built were really interesting, and the views were lovely. We stopped for breakfast while walking the Great Glen Way with our dogs. The Highland Breakfast was cracking, and everything was delicious. Had tea, then coffee, in a bright, fresh space that was a pleasure to sit in.

The soup of the day was delicious, and my baked potato with tuna and cheese was just as good. We stopped for lunch while visiting Fort Augustus. The staff were friendly, the seating area was clean, and the food came out hot and quickly. We finished with a small festive empire biscuit and a mocha. I was pleasantly impressed and would definitely come back.

We spent the second night of our road trip with friends here, in a room we booked through Airbnb. It was a lovely, quiet spot by Loch Ness. In the morning we met the housekeeper, Hamish, who was very nice and gave us suggestions for our Scotland trip. A great place to stay while visiting the Highlands, and I'd recommend it to anyone planning a trip here.

We came back for a second stay last week and found the room just as spotlessly clean as before, with everything we needed for a short visit. Fort Augustus is right on the doorstep, so the location is perfect. Nothing to fault.

A great base for exploring on foot. The rooms are lovely and well kept, and both the end of Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal are within walking distance.
