Andy and Carole were wonderful hosts at Balcarres Guest House, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When we asked about local sights, they gave us plenty of helpful information on where to go, including some fantastic waterfalls. Absolutely brilliant, and I’d return without hesitation.

The freshly cooked breakfast was the best I’ve had at a B&B, and after a day exploring, my spotless, comfortable room felt like coming home. Andy and Carole are lovely hosts, with great suggestions for walks and restaurants nearby. The walks in their information folders were excellent too. I can’t recommend Balcarres enough, and can’t wait to come back next year.

A lovely view across the Loch from our beautifully presented room. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, and happily did a load of washing for us. They also provided an excellent lunch for walkers. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh fruit salad.

We had a fantastic week, and were made to feel like family from the start. Carole and Andy greeted us with a smile each day, served fresh breakfast every morning, and went out of their way to help. We got lots of useful advice for our arrival, daily trips, and local highlights. The room was comfortable, well kept, and had a modern, clean bathroom. Thank you, Carole and Andy!

Carole and Andy were welcoming, lovely hosts, always ready to help. Balcarres B&B has a great view and is conveniently close to main attractions, restaurants, and bars. Breakfast was delicious and set me up well for the day. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
