Hill Farm Cottage

We were a group of friends with no riding experience and had turned up without realizing it was an unscheduled day. Jess, Neve and the girls were so kind that they opened the farm just for us. They were lovely with us and gave us a really memorable horse riding experience. It’s a wonderful family run farm, and we’ll definitely visit again.

My son had a couple of lessons during our stay and loved them. He keeps asking when we can return. I also got back to jumping after an injury years ago. I never imagined I’d try again, but the support on this visit and our last one gave me the confidence to do it. Having someone who truly cared coach me through that moment meant a lot. Jess has been so kind, knowledgeable and encouraging as I rebuild my confidence, and her team are fantastic. The horses are happy and very well looked after. Hill Farm is such a fantastic stables. We planned our half term return to the island around riding here, with hacks and lessons. I’m grateful I found them and will keep recommending Hill Farm to everyone I can.

Jess made our ride out really fun and shared lots of interesting history about the area, along with great suggestions for lunch and pubs. The horses and ponies are clearly loved and cared for so well. Thanks for such a lovely start to the day, I can’t recommend this stables enough 🤗

I bought my fiancé a novice ride for her birthday, and it was exactly what she wanted. She’d never ridden before, but they were patient and really good with her. Her horse was a gentle giant, very placid and a lovely lad. It’s a friendly family run stables and riding centre in a beautiful part of the island. Highly recommend it if you’re curious about riding but haven’t tried it.
