Tollgate Cottages Bed and Breakfast

Mark and Kate make this a superb B&B, with lovely service in a glorious location. This was our fourth visit to Tollgate Cottages, so it’s clear how much we love it. Already looking forward to next year!

We had tea or coffee and a warm welcome when we arrived. For the evenings we didn’t want to eat out, there was our own lounge, fridge, microwave and dinner table. Breakfast was a full English cooked personally, and I don’t think anything was missing. Mark will happily chat and share his local knowledge if you want, or leave you to yourself. One of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed at, definitely five stars. Our four days went far too quickly, and I can’t wait to come back and stay with Mark again. Thank you, Mark.

There’s a long, lovely garden with apple and plum trees, perfect for a stroll before breakfast or in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable, Mark was a great host, and his breakfasts were excellent. I’d highly recommend staying here!

We were so glad we booked Tollgate Cottages for our four nights in September 2022. The location was great, and the accommodation spotless, with two comfortable bedrooms plus a lounge and personal kitchen area. Mark is the definition of hospitality. He served generous, wonderful breakfasts, and shared loads about the Island’s history and the best places to explore. It’s a gem, so don’t hesitate if you get the chance to book.
