Dreamwood Cottage

We had a perfect stay at Dreamwood cottage, it was spotless, cosy, and spacious enough to feel right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed for self catering, and the log burner was a lovely bonus. The shower was hot and had great pressure. There’s plenty of parking and a private outdoor seating spot that must be lovely in summer. It’s also close to walks, cafes, and restaurants, with lots of leaflets available. Communication with the host was great. We hope to return, thanks for such a nice stay! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Shannon, Mareks and our spaniel Chester!

Elaine was lovely, and the cottage was immaculate. We especially liked the big bathroom with its bath and shower, the comfy bed and en suite, and the patio. The kitchen was beautiful, and the living room felt cosy with its log burner. There are good restaurants and takeaways nearby, though the cottage has everything you need to cook for yourself. Dreamwood Cottage is a brilliant base for exploring Loch Lomond, and we had such a great stay we didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back.

The walk through the RSPB reserve to Loch Lomond starts right by the cottage, and we found a gorgeous little bay that we had to ourselves on both walks. That was a real highlight. Balmaha is a short drive away, and we’d highly recommend the 6.5 mile hike around Conic Hill for the breathtaking loch views from the top. Baloch and Dryden are also nearby for shops and pubs, and The Clachan Inn in Dryden is a must. We were warmly welcomed by Elaine and Stuart for our wedding anniversary, and they communicated well even before we booked when we asked about our pooch. The cottage was clean, cosy, comfortable, and well equipped, with local information, Sky TV and WiFi. We had a wonderful time in one of our favourite areas, and Dreamwood Cottage made a great base for exploring.

Elaine was a great host, welcoming and easy to reach if we needed anything. The cottage is lovely inside, with a comfy bed, a well equipped kitchen, and a great little log burner. It’s well placed between Balloch and Drymen/Balmaha, all with good restaurants nearby. Make time for the Clachin, a great little pub/restaurant with tasty food. A perfect spot near Loch Lomond shores for a break away. Hope to come back one day.
