Destiny Scotland - Glassford Residence

The host was so kind and helpful, and made it easy from start to finish with clear entry instructions. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, beautifully done and very comfortable. Its location was brilliant, close to everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay, and I’d highly recommend it as a place to stay.

The bed was comfortable, and the location was great, but I can’t recommend the apartment. It needs a deep clean and a full refurbishment. The room was shabby and filthy, with cigarette ash all over the turret room and dust and dirt everywhere else. The rug had curled up and was a trip hazard, and the airer, ironing board and waste bin were all a bit damaged. Most of all, the seagulls on the flat roof next door and by the roof skylight windowsill were unbearably loud. They made noise constantly, from around 4am until 11pm, and sometimes screamed in the middle of the night too.

The place is right in central Glasgow, handy for nightlife, shops and restaurants. The room was big, bright and clean, and we slept well in a very comfy bed. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, with two of everything, though one glass was chipped. The TV, heating, door pass, safe and dishwasher were all straightforward to use, which is rare for me. A little pricey, but I was happy with what we got.

We stayed three nights, and it was surprisingly quiet inside and not especially busy outside in the evenings. The location is really good for a city break. The one thing keeping this from a top rating was the master bedroom blinds. In May, they let in so much light it felt like sleeping with the lights on. Please get them fixed.
