The casual atmosphere and genuinely friendly, attentive staff make Laughing Buddha in Uddingston a pleasant place to eat or order takeaway. The food has fresh ingredients and well-cooked dishes, with the salt and chilli options and rich curries standing out. At 720 Old Edinburgh Road, it offers good value too, including an affordable three-course lunch and snack boxes. It’s one of the stronger choices around Glasgow for Chinese food at a modest price.

This keeps happening with deliveries from here. I’ve ordered before and had the same problem, but this time my online order took two and a half hours. When I called the shop, the woman who answered was rude, argumentative and arrogant. She said I’d have to wait another 40 minutes. Shocking delivery and customer service from a company like this.

The order took over an hour, which I could accept, but when it arrived the box was covered in sauce. The driver hadn’t handled it well, so hardly any sauce was left with the food. The customer service was terrible too: she was on her phone and didn’t smile when she handed it over.

We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner here, and the service was amazing and the food perfect. I’ve been coming for 20 years and will keep supporting the restaurant. Thank you for continuing to look after us so well.
