Travelodge Glasgow Central

The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself looks a little worn and could use some updating. Its central location is excellent, with an easy walk from the station and close to everything. Breakfast was included; there wasn’t a huge choice, but it was enough to fill us up.

The location was okay, with easy access to the centre and parking nearby, but I was really disappointed with the room. I’ve stayed in small rooms before, and this one was ridiculous. The wallpaper looked very dated, and there was barely any lighting: two lights beside the bed and one by the TV. There were burn marks on the ceiling too. A coat of white paint and more light might help it feel bigger. I usually prefer Travelodge to Premier Inn, but next time I’ll choose Premier Inn. Service wasn’t great, though I can’t blame the staff when one person was handling reception, the bar, and breakfast. We only needed a bed for the night, but still, it was a letdown.

The room itself was small, with peeling paint, battered furniture, and lots of other decorating faults. It looked as though nothing had been updated in decades. The bed was awful, hard and sounding like it might fall apart. Even closing the bathroom door was a challenge. At least the rooms were cleaned well. The communal areas looked tired, and the lift really frightened me. The receptionists struggled to understand and deal with our requests. Breakfast was poor, and while the location was okay, there are better options. I found the place horrible, and I won’t be back.

After just one night at this hotel, my family and I developed scabies and terrible rashes. My one-year-old son was badly affected, and we’re still dealing with the problem months later. My children now have skin marks, and we’ve spent a lot of time and money disinfecting everything. The hotel was terribly dirty, and the sheets weren’t clean. All of this happened after we chose to stay there for one night. It wasn’t worth it at all, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even my enemy.
