There are holes in more walls than not, and half the ceilings are missing altogether. The elevators are partly broken, and some doors don’t have deadbolts. Every corridor reeks of rubbish mixed with cigarettes; I’m pretty sure the floors haven’t been cleaned since the building opened. Hilariously bad place. Avoid at all costs.

We ended up at a Premier Inn instead, and didn’t get into our new room until around 8pm. It was a shocking experience and an absolute nightmare for us and the kids. The car park to our room took about half an hour to navigate because the layout was so confusing. The staff member who led us there took us through corridors with different disgusting smells, including weed, holes in the walls and missing ceiling panels. Booking.com listed three double beds, but there was one double and two singles. The curtains hung loose and didn’t even fit the pole. We hadn’t been told the place was actually a flat with a shared bathroom and kitchen, despite Booking.com saying we’d have a private bathroom. The pillows were so thin my socks were thicker. My boyfriend and I decided we wouldn’t stay there.

The dirt and stench were extreme. It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed, so I booked another hotel and left. I’d have paid just to get out into fresh air.

The room was filthy when I arrived. There were stains and crumbs on the sheets, dirt everywhere, and toothpaste marks in the bathrooms. Saeed, the property manager, let me into the property. This whole thing has been a terrible farce. DO NOT BOOK THIS, IT IS UNINHABITABLE. They refuse to give me my money back!
