Our host made us feel so welcome, and the place had a safe, home from home feel. It was clean and cosy, with a beautifully cooked breakfast kindly brought up to our room in the morning. What a fabulous place to stay in Glastonbury.

Steve was incredibly friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. He cooked us a delicious full English breakfast and brought it to our room. It was the best we’ve ever tasted, and the French press coffee was a lovely bonus. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotless, with a nice bathroom and fluffy white towels. The stairs are steep, as we’d been warned, but at 80 years old we managed them pretty well. We’d stay again without hesitation. A parking tip for anyone driving: St Johns road car park is behind the shops on the High street. Walk through the little cut way called the Gauntlet, and it brings you almost opposite the Overlook. It costs £6.80 for 24 hours. Please stay at the Overlook, you won’t be disappointed.

Steve, one of the owners, greeted us warmly and made us feel at home at The Overlook. Our upstairs room looked out over High Street, and was comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with plenty of towels. Steve made sure we had what we needed, including a kettle and a French press. He brought breakfast to our room at eight. My husband had the full English, while Steve made me dairy free yogurt because of my allergy, along with a lovely fruit plate and toast. We can’t remember the last time we had breakfast in bed! After checkout, we left our bags downstairs with Steve and Glenn in their art store. We appreciated them taking the time to chat and share their excitement and passion for Glastonbury. We can’t wait to come back.

Right in the heart of Glastonbury, this is a really charming B&B. My room was spotless and comfortable, and Steve brought in a delicious breakfast.

The room had plenty of space, lots of sockets and USB charging points, plus Netflix for relaxing after a long day of travel. The shower pressure was excellent too. Everything looked freshly refurbished and was very clean and tidy. Steve was friendly and helpful, even carrying luggage up and down the stairs. Each morning he brought a full cooked breakfast, and once we left the tray on the chest outside the room, it was taken away. The B&B is right in the middle of Glastonbury, which is very handy. A couple of things to bear in mind: there are quite a few stairs to reach the room, and the beds are very soft, so they may not suit anyone with back or joint problems. Those are minor issues for most people, but worth mentioning.
