Whitecairn Holiday Park

The holiday home was fabulous, clean and well supplied, with an updated TV and all the amenities a family with young children needs. The hot tub was fabulous and the location beautiful. I also have to thank Whitecairn Holiday Park and the staff for the incredible help when I got a flat tyre. My insurance company handled it terribly, and I was nearly stranded with two young children, one of whom needs medication for an ongoing condition. The park first let us check out later for free, then offered us an extra stay free of charge, and even offered to drive us to the nearest public transport. They gave us food and drinks while we waited and did everything they could to help us continue our journey. As a single mum with young children, and a friend with medical ailments, I’m incredibly grateful. It was lovely to see that basic human decency and care still exist.

We had a pond view, and it was amazing. The place was spotless and spacious, and we booked one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom lodge, both with hot tubs. Before our visit, I messaged the Instagram page and got a quick, helpful reply. She sorted the booking for me, so I didn’t have to do anything. The maintenance man was lovely, chatty and helpful. We’ll definitely return.

I visit Whitecairns regularly and always love my time here. The lodges and hot tubs are immaculate, the staff are always warm and welcoming, and nothing is ever a hassle.

We’ve just come home from a lovely seven-night stay in one of the site’s caravans. The site is in a beautiful spot, though it’s on a hillside, and you’ll need to drive to reach most local facilities and places to spend the day. We arrived after reception had closed, but five minutes after calling the number provided, a lovely gentleman came to let us in. He told us about the area and checked that we had everything we needed. The caravan was immaculate and well stocked, including washing-up supplies and towels for everyone. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone after a peaceful break in a great park, in a clean, well-equipped and beautiful caravan.
