Woodlands Self Catered Barn

We arrived unexpectedly as a group of friends, and despite it being very busy, the owner welcomed us and found a table for five with a beautiful view over the hills. We all had excellent lunches, and one friend thoroughly enjoyed her Bakewell Tart and custard. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a beautiful place for lunch or dinner. We can't wait to visit again.

A friend took me for afternoon tea today, and I found it really relaxing in a lovely setting. The food was excellent, and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. I'll definitely book again. I know friends from Edinburgh will love it too.

Judy and Brian made our weekend feel really special. They were so welcoming, and the accommodation was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely and had plenty of choices. There were thoughtful extras too, including nice toiletries, tea and coffee facilities, water and chocolate bars. I can't praise Judy and Brian enough for their hospitality. We'll definitely return.

The Woodlands restaurant is the best place our family has been to. The food is first-class quality and cooked perfectly, and the staff are amazing, always happy to help. It's so popular that you'll need to book well ahead. We're looking forward to coming back soon.
