The location is excellent for shops, the Quays and places to eat, and the price was very reasonable. The hotel gave us a voucher for the car park next door, where guest spaces are allocated. We parked for two and a half days, which would have cost £30 for the stay, but paid £10. Reception can provide a voucher if you need to come and go during your visit. Our rooms were adequate. Breakfast was fine, with bacon, sausage, tomato, beans, hash brown, scrambled eggs and fresh mushrooms, plus bread, bagels, pancakes, yoghurt, fruit, spreads and juice, either apple or apple and orange. There was a toaster. The coffee from the machine wasn’t drinkable, but sachets were available. When we checked in on 30 Nov/1 Dec 25, two staff members kept talking and didn’t acknowledge us. They also didn’t explain where breakfast was or its hours. I’d still recommend it for the location and reasonable cost.

The bar is well stocked, and the food selection was surprisingly good, tasty, quick and efficient, and good value. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the bar and food lounge were comfortable and nicely appointed. Breakfast is a very good value buffet, served from 8 to 11.

The location was excellent, right by the Quays with plenty of places to eat. It wasn’t great overall, though the price was good. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. The hotel was relatively empty, but items were often missing or slow to be replenished. During our three-day stay we found yoghurt, fresh fruit, teabags, honey, milk, cups and hot chocolate missing at different times. Housekeeping also missed one visit even though we had the sign on the door. We had to go to reception for more toilet roll, milk and teabags. A few changes would make a big difference to the guest experience.

The hotel is attached to Gloucester Quays shopping centre and we had a great stay. The bedroom was a decent size, though a hair dryer in the room would have been useful. It was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. I’d happily stay again.

The staff were polite and professional, and breakfast was good value. Our top-floor room did have a downside: it faced the multi-storey car park and the pub below, so late-night noise echoed between the buildings. There’s no free parking at the hotel or easy drop-off and pick-up point. I found free parking about a five-minute walk away, halfway down nearby Weston Road. For the price and handy location, you can’t really go wrong. Four stars.
