Hope and Anchor Inn

A lovely spot for an evening walk down to the water, and the staff were lovely with amazing food. Our one-night stay was let down a bit by the dated room. We couldn't control the heating, and it was pretty cold overnight with small children. The bathroom tap wouldn't stop running either. Still, we would stay here again.

Handy for the Fishguard ferry terminal, with friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room, and a lovely breakfast. I would stay again and recommend it, though light sleepers might want ear plugs. The bar music was quite loud, and after it stopped I could hear everything from next door, including the toilet flushing, running water and the loudest snoring ever. My husband wore earplugs and slept through it all. The TV was quite old, and the strong-smelling diffusers around the hotel, including in the bedroom, were a bit overpowering for me.

We didn't stay here, just stopped in at the pub. The Wye Valley HPA was amazing, there's a jukebox, and the locals were friendly. They also let us eat food from the local Indian there.

Right by the harbour, so it's a great spot for an overnight stay before a ferry. The rooms were clean, the staff really friendly, and the beds soft and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. I'd stay again and recommend it. We wished we'd skipped the chip shop on the corner and eaten at the Anchor and Inn instead, the food smelled lush.
