Coach House

The garden was a great size and secure, so the dogs could play while we sat in the sun with a drink. There was plenty of room for all of us, six adults, two children and three dogs, without feeling crowded. We found check-in easy, had enough keys for everyone to come and go, and could park three or four cars on the drive. The house was clean and presentable, with comfortable beds, enough towels, and an en suite in every room, which gave each couple some privacy. We could request either single or double bed setups ahead of time. The kitchen was magnificent for a large group, with double ovens, a hob, good utensils and properly sized pans. It's a 20-minute walk to the ferry, which we took to Portsmouth a few times. A spacious, well-connected home and great value. We'll definitely be back!

We had nine people, and the holiday home suited us well, with an en suite in every room. What brought the rating down to three stars was the £500 damage deposit, which is ridiculously steep, and all the messages about noise, no music after 6pm and keeping quiet in the garden.

The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the garden was a lovely, peaceful place to unwind after a tiring day. We stayed at The Coach House with family and really enjoyed it. It was ideal for our large gathering, with spacious, tidy rooms and an en suite in each one. The dog-friendly property had plenty of parking and was easy to get to. The ferry to Gunwharf Quays was a 20-minute walk away. I'd highly recommend it for a comfortable, convenient stay in the area.

We had a lovely stay in a clean, tidy place, with the kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. It's 15 minutes from town and 20 from the ferry. My only real gripe was the games room: the pool table was dated and needed more balls, and the football table seemed to need payment. Just a small issue during an otherwise lovely stay.
