People were coming and going all night, walking the halls, talking and arguing. The bar stayed closed, there was no breakfast despite it being listed as included when booking, and the pool was shut by the local authorities for maintenance. The one good thing was that the shower had strong pressure and hot water. Everything else was dreadful. The whole hotel smelled awful as soon as we came through the front door. It's dated, run down and filthy, and needs gutting and starting again. Our room was just as dirty and dated: ripped, stained carpet with who knows what on it, dirty curtains, rubbish left by a previous guest, a dirty bathroom floor, hair beside the bath, a rusty shower knob, a mouldy shower curtain and stained towels. The wardrobe nearly collapsed when I opened it. The bedding looked okay but smelled strange. I wouldn't house stray cats there, let alone paying guests. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Basic hotel, but very good value. The room was clean and comfortable, with an en-suite bathroom and a super comfy bed. There was good off-road parking, and it was quiet at night, so I slept well. 💫💫💫 Darren🇬🇧⚓️

I booked two nights for the wrong month by mistake, but stayed anyway and had to pay. When I asked for a refund for the two nights I'd originally booked, they said no, so I ended up paying twice. The room and carpets were filthy, the doors had no locks, and there was no swimming pool. Absolutely diabolical.

The location is okay. We were hurried into our room, and the pool, bar and restaurant were all out of order. After seeing the room, I wouldn't have used them anyway. The hot tap turned when I tried to switch it on, the bathroom door wouldn't close because its rollers were broken, and there were stains on the bedding. I went to reception more than once to report it, but nobody was there.

"Look Simba, everything the light touches is our kingdom." "What about that shadowy part over there?" "That's the Hotel Victoria, Simba. You must never go there." The room looked nothing like the hotel's pictures. It was stark white and clinical, with no pictures or full-length mirror to open up the space. There was rubbish behind the bedside tables, and the bed creaked every time we moved. The shower wasn't attached to the wall and couldn't be fixed there, so we had to hold it over our heads. There was no hot water. I went to the front desk three times to try to get it sorted, and on the third visit I was told to wait 20 minutes for the hot water to switch. By the time we'd showered and got ready for bed, it was after 11pm. The curtains were creased and the floor clearly hadn't been vacuumed. The pool and bar were closed, and there was no dinner or breakfast option. The one staff member was rude and nonchalant about our shower complaints. It was so bad that we're trying to get our money back. So yeah, we had a great time 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
