Travelodge Dartford Hotel

The whole hotel stinks, and I found spiders in my bed. They moved me to another room, but the sheets there were stained and it smelled mouldy. The receptionist couldn't have cared less and didn't even apologise. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid this dump at all costs.

The location was convenient and service was good. My room was fairly standard for a travel lodge, though the cleaning was poor: the toilet was pretty bad and the previous guests' drink marks were still on the bedside shelf. It was a bit noisy, with a road on one side and train tracks on the other.

I didn't feel comfortable in the room and wouldn't walk on the floor without shoes. There were flies everywhere when we arrived, along with a disgusting smell. The first night's food arrived cold. On the second night, a family waited nearly a couple of hours for their restaurant order. Another customer and I finally cancelled ours after an hour, when it was nearly ten o'clock. I wonder why they accepted so many orders when they obviously couldn't cope. The hotel shouldn't be open until it's back up to Travelodge standard. Disgusting place.

Free parking was a nice bonus, and there was no road noise. The room was clean, the price reasonable, and the location great.
