I hadn't visited or worked in this area before, so wasn't sure what to expect when I booked. No need to worry: the hotel was easy to find just off the main road, with plenty of safe parking. Check-in was easy, and the receptionist was polite and professional. I was in room 10, which was really spacious and comfortable, with what you need when working or staying away. The shower was fabulous, hot and powerful. From the room I could see fields, horses and rabbits, a very relaxing view. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water and even comfy slippers were provided. The food came hot and tasted great. The minted jam roly-poly was definitely worth trying. The best part for me was the staff. Hannah, Jay and Izzie were amazing and took time to chat with new and familiar customers. They made me feel so welcome and deserve credit for their brilliant approach to work. I'll recommend the hotel to my colleagues and will definitely return. Hannah, Jay and Izzie, thanks for making me feel welcome.

The hotel has a homely feel, and the staff are very attentive. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special or inspiring. Dinner was another matter: the curry was nice, but the rice was overcooked, and I paid way too much for what I got, including £6 for three slices of bread?!

The family wedding weekend was a total triumph. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the wedding function room was beautifully decorated, with excellent food. We stayed in a spotless family room with very comfy beds. On arrival we had a good, reasonably priced light lunch in the bar room, and dinner was delicious. The wedding day started with a nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The bed was especially good, and I got a great night's sleep during my two-night business trip. Rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout. I had a great experience and would recommend the place and stay again.

I ate at the restaurant and would highly recommend it. The food was lovely, and Hannah's service was exceptional. My room was large and exceptionally clean, as was the very modern bathroom. Great for a business stay, and I'll definitely be back.
