The room was lovely and comfortable, with a fabulous bathroom and a very large shower, though there’s no bath. We had a good breakfast and a warm welcome. Upright fans had been placed in the rooms because of the recent hot weather, a thoughtful touch. We heard some morning traffic when the windows were open, but it didn’t bother us. We’d definitely stay again, thank you!

We spent one night here with breakfast, and the gentleman running the bar was incredibly helpful. The chef’s hospitality was top-notch, and the fully cooked breakfast was five-star. Highly recommended.

A lovely stay, with the town of Monmouth close enough to reach on foot. Lisa at reception was so friendly and helpful, arranged a local taxi, and gave us lots of restaurant options for the evening. The setup was great, breakfast was delicious, and our room was ideal. The en suites look like they’ve been updated recently.

It’s got the feel of a friendly local pub, with tasty food at low prices. My favourite things here are the pool table and dartboard. Parking could be improved, and it’s not easy to get around in a larger car, but otherwise this is a great place.

We only stayed for one night, but it was clean and friendly, and surprisingly quiet despite being on a busy main road. We slept with the windows open and didn’t hear traffic. The cooked breakfast was fab, and all in all it’s excellent value. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
