We used this clean, roomy hotel for an overnight stay after a night out in Newport, and it did the job at a good price. Some parts of the room look a little dated. For a quieter stay, ask for a room at the rear. There are plenty of quick food options nearby, including McDonald’s, Leon, Costa, TG Jones and Chozen, which serves breakfast after 11am.

We stopped here overnight to rest on our way through Wales, and the room was surprisingly quiet, so we slept well. It was clean and good value, with a convenient location, plus a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee. Our little corgi could stay with us because the hotel welcomes dogs. Before setting off, we had breakfast at the Costa next door. A clean, quiet, dog-friendly place at a great price.

We left a day early after a really poor stay. The hotel is attached to the services, so parking wasn't great, and nobody was at reception the morning we left to hear our complaint. At check-in, the receptionist seemed unsure about the rooms and charges. The room wasn't clean, the bathroom bin was full, and the hotel was extremely noisy. I got hardly any sleep after doors slammed and people banged about at 2am and 4am. I know it's a cheaper hotel, but a clean room would still be nice. This has put me off Days Inn for good.

The room was clean and tidy, though it could use a refresh. Check-in was quick, and the hotel was easy to find. The woman at reception was polite and helpful. For four of us, the nightly price was an absolute bargain. I'd definitely recommend it for a night or two.

The manager was a legend, so friendly and caring with people with disabilities and vulnerable people. I spoke with three staff members and they were all polite, welcoming and supportive. They even helped with online booking and gave us vouchers for shops to help with food. The place was very clean and smelled lovely, it felt like home, haha. The cleaning ladies were fantastic too. 10/10, bring your family for a holiday or a break, you won't regret it. Then I got robbed and stolen from by staff, and they kicked me out. Vile people, stay away.
