Garleton Lodge

The one thing I missed was a fan, since the room was very warm and had no A/C. Still, the bed was extremely comfortable, and so were the pillows. My dad and I stayed one night while attending the Scottish Open golf tournament on the Thursday. The countryside setting was stunning, with beautiful views all around, and the place was absolutely amazing. Communication through their app was excellent and made it easy to let them know when we could check in. The two owners were super helpful and friendly, and breakfast was delicious and very "homely." We only stayed the night, but I'd definitely return with my partner sometime, as it seems like a perfect romantic getaway spot.

Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the hosts, David and Angela, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were struggling to find a taxi for the wedding we were attending, and they stepped in to help us with transport. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, and the views from this very special place were fabulous. Couldn't ask for more, and I'd definitely recommend it.

My room looked out over Scottish fields, with a bird's eye view of Edinburgh and Arthur’s Seat plainly in sight. It was clean and inviting, and the hosts at Garleton Lodge were polite and welcoming. A wonderful first stay and a great introduction to Scotland.

The owners made the stay special, welcoming me warmly and taking care to make sure I had what I needed. The room was cozy and comfortable, with everything I needed for a restful visit, and it was spotlessly clean. Waking to the gentle sounds of the countryside was refreshing. This charming bed and breakfast on a Scottish farm just outside of Edinburgh felt peaceful from the moment I arrived, with serene views and a tranquil atmosphere away from city bustle. It's a lovely way to experience the countryside while staying close to Edinburgh, and a great place for a quiet retreat. I'm already looking forward to coming back.
