The steak pie was lovely, and the pub has a very nice atmosphere during the week. I’ve visited at different times and found the place changes a lot by the weekend, when it can get too rowdy with young people who feel quite intimidating. If you’re after a relaxed beer, it’s worth choosing your day carefully.

Friendly, professional staff and a pub with a great feel to it. There’s a good range of beers and other drinks, plus live music, sport on the big screen and a pub quiz.

I came for breakfast this morning, but wasn’t given a menu or told the price. It turned out to be expensive, and I’m unhappy they didn’t have a menu showing the prices. I won’t be back for breakfast.

The music was a little loud at our table, though we could still talk comfortably. It was pleasant enough sitting in on a Saturday night. Cocktails didn’t start until 9, but the staff remembered to come back and take our order, which was nice. It’s still not the pub it once was, but it’s definitely better than it has been.

I went upstairs for their music night recently to see my friends’ band during the Haddstock festival, and had another great evening. On Saturday, my bestie and I had popped in for a drink, and the atmosphere was great as usual. All the staff are super friendly and welcoming. There was a woman singing that evening and she was brilliant. I reckon it’s the best pub in Haddington. Thanks, and see you again! Anna
